The most common tapered drill rods on the market are the hex head, The tail handle model is as follows:Hex19 x 108mm、Hex22 x 108mm、Hex25 x 108mm、Hex25mm x 159mm. Full line of tapered button bits, Phillips bits and chisel bits with 7, 11, 12 degree tapers. the hex collet provides leverage for the swivel chuck, it usually has a forged ring to maintain the correct shank impact face position in the rock drill, and a tapered bit. Tapered steel lengths (lengths ranging from 0.6m to 3.6m), measured from the collar to the end of the bit, typically drilled in 0.6m increments.
Different rock formations and rock drills require different cone angle tapered drill rods. When using high-impact hydraulic rock drills to drill holes in medium-hard to hard abrasive rock formations, the taper angle of the tapered drill rods is relatively wide, usually 11 degrees or 12 degrees. When drilling in low-hard rock, the taper angle of the drill pipe is narrowed, usually 7 degrees.

Leanoms tapered drill rods can be heat treated by high frequency or fully carburized， After the test feedback from customers, our quality is exactly the same as that of atlas copco integral drill rods. However, if the tapered rod is bent, further use is prohibited.
