Tapered Rock bits are primarily used with pneumatic rock drill and tapered drill rod to conduct drilling operations via the connection of the drill bit and drill rod taper. Tapered Rock Bit is designed for hard rock drilling and is commonly used in secondary crushing, bolting, drifting, and other applications. Because of the tungsten carbide tips and hot-plated skirts, the Tapered Rock bit have a good drilling effect and a long service life as an upgraded product of the chisel drill bits and cross drill bits. Taper angles for Tapered Rock bit are typically 7°, 11°, and 12°.
