2.Clean Components: Before assembly, it's crucial to thoroughly clean all components to ensure that no impurities interfere with the assembly process. Use a clean solvent or detergent to clean the parts and dry them with a clean cloth.
Lubricate Parts: During the assembly process, some parts may require lubrication. Ensure the use of the appropriate lubricant and apply it to components as recommended by the manufacturer.
3.Assemble the Piston and Seals: Insert the piston into the hammer body and make sure that seals are correctly installed on the piston. The proper positioning of seals is critical for the hammer's performance.
4.Install Valves: According to the manufacturer's guidelines, install valves onto the hammer body. Ensure that the valves are correctly positioned to maintain air-tightness.
5.Attach Drill Bit and Casing: Mount the drill bit onto the bottom of the hammer body and attach the casing to the drill bit. Ensure that the threads between the drill bit and casing are properly tightened and use thread sealant to ensure a seal.
6.Connect to the Drilling Rig: Connect the assembled DTH hammer to the drill rods of the drilling rig, ensuring a secure connection. Typically, this involves inserting the connecting end of the drill rods into the connecting end of the hammer body and tightening the threads.
7.Test and Adjust: Before commencing actual drilling, perform a system test to ensure that all components are functioning correctly and that there are no leaks. Make any necessary adjustments as required.
8.Prepare for Drilling: Once assembly and testing are completed, you can prepare to start drilling operations. Ensure that all relevant safety measures and procedures are followed and monitor and maintain the DTH hammer during the drilling process as needed.
