DTH Hammer maintenance
1. The DTH Hammer should always rotate with the right hand when drilling since the connection and joint are right-handed threads.
2. To ensure that the drill bit enters the rock stratum smoothly, the least amount of impact and propulsion force must be applied during drilling.
3. It's crucial to balance the weight of the drilling instrument with the propulsive power. The weight of the drilling tool must adjust the thruster's propelling force.
4. The DTH Hammer typically rotates at a speed of 15 to 25 rpm. The chiseling speed will increase with increasing rotational speed. To prevent the bit from being too worn, the rotation speed should be decreased on hard rock.
5. The percussion device must be used often for forced blowing to clear the hole bottom because the obstructing block and hole might clog the drill.
6. The DTH Hammer must always be properly lubricated; failing to do so can hasten the abrasion and perhaps cause damage to the DTH Hammer.
7. The end of the loosened drill pipe thread must be covered in order to prevent the drill pipe from sticking to rock debris and other impurities that will fall into the DTH Hammer during rod extension.
