Some Common Trouble Shooting Methods For Drilling Hammer:
Fault one: Poor or no lubrication, causing an increase in wear or scoring.
Cause: Oil is not reaching the impact mechanism of the Drilling Hammer.
Remedy: Inspect the lubrication, top-up with oil if necessary, or increase lub oil dosage
Fault Two: The Impact mechanism does not operate, or works with reduced effect.
Cause:
1. Supply of air throttled or blocked.
2. Too large a clearance, between the piston and the external cylinder, or between the piston and the internal, or between the piston and the air distributor.
3. Drilling Hammer dogged by impurities.
4. Piston failure or foot valve failure.Remedy：
1. Check the air pressure. Check that the air passages up to the rock drill are open.
2. Disassemble the Drilling Hammer and inspect the wear, replace the worn part.
3. Disassemble the Drilling Hammer and wash all internal components.
4. Disassemble the Drilling Hammer replace the fractured piston or sit up a new bit.
Fault Three: Lost drill bit and driver chuck
Cause: The Impact mechanism has operated without right-hand rotation.
Remedy: Fish up the dropped equipment with a fishing tool. Remember to always use right-hand rotation, both when drilling and when lifting the drill string.

If a rock drilling tool comes into contact with an explosive, an explosion may occur. Explosions may cause serious or mortal injuries. To reduce such risk of explosion, never drill near any explosive, including dynamite or other explosives in the rock. Make sure that there are no explosives in the rock. Never drill in an old hole.
