Current Situation Of Brazing Steel Tool Industry

Dec 13, 2022

Impact drilling uses a brazing filler metal known as "brazing steel." Steel brazing tools are mostly used to drill holes in rocks using blasting techniques and to match rock drilling equipment. The drill bit must transmit the impact power of the rock drilling machine's output, withstand the high-frequency impact and torsional moment of the rock drill 2600–3000 times per minute, and transmit an impact energy of at least 85–750J in the form of an impact stress wave while operating; in the meantime, the drilling gun must transmit an impact energy of at least 750J or more. To guarantee dust clearance and the discharge of rock powder throughout the hole process, the water hole in the rock drilling tool shall convey the ore water with a pressure of 0.4 MPa; additionally, the tool's exterior should be severely abraded with the rock surface.

Rock drilling tools are a product of the industrial revolution in the tool business. A straightforward rock drilling instrument was utilized when Ingersoll Rand created the steam-driven rock drill in 1796. Production and development of rock drilling equipment are expanding together with the industrialization process.

In the 1950s, China started making pneumatic rock drilling equipment and rock drilling tools at the same time. Early in the 1980s, more businesses made investments in soldering items, and more manufacturing kinds were available. Various brazing manufacturing and scientific research initiatives have also started to provide results and have become productive at the same time. The industrial production of brazing tools in China reached a certain level in the 1990s, and the product varieties largely satiated the requirements of different infrastructure projects. A system of industrial manufacturing for rock drilling equipment has been established in China as a result of the batch exportation of some of the goods.
