Integral Drill Rod used for rock drill

Nov 28, 2022

General Introduction:

Integral Drill Rod typically has forged collars, set lengths, and bits at one end of the shank. This offers a hexagonal chuck portion to give the rotating chuck bushing leverage. Integral Drill Rod can drill down to a depth equal to their useful length. The bit may have one, two, three, or four tungsten carbide inserts that are chisel-shaped. For the air-leg feed length, holes are normally bored in 0.4m intervals. The Integral Drill Rod is made to be used in a series, with each Integral Drill Rod's length being longer and its head size being slightly smaller than the one used just before it in the sequence, in order to drill deep holes (up to 2.0m).To accomplish this, a series of Integral Drill Rods must be created such that the bit diameter decreases with each increase in rod length to avoid the bit jamming in the hole.

In small-hole drilling applications including stone quarrying, foundation drilling, tunneling, underground mining, road cutting, and trenching, among others, Integral Drill Rod is primarily employed. It is also fitted with tiny power rock drills such as air leg rock drills and hand-held rock drills. Integral Drill Rod may decrease the cost of impact energy, increase drilling speed, and be used to drill boreholes with a typical diameter range of 23 to 45 mm.
