Pre-use inspection
Before use, if it is a new DTH Hammer or one that has been maintained after use, need to carefully check to confirm that the front and back the joint and outer sleeve have connected reliable; the piston can move freely; DTH drill bit and the DTH Hammer has been connected correctly; related DTH drill pipe, drill rig, air compressor is ready; connection parts is reliable.If it is used, the DTH Hammer not maintained must be maintained before use.
Drilling can only be done after confirmation.
Lubrication in use
The main purpose of lubrication is to reduce wear, rust, oxidation and clearance sealing. The DTH Hammer is driven by compressed air piston high frequency movement to provide broken rock impact work to the drill. Any high-speed movement component requires good lubrication, so is the DTH Hammer.
Each DTH Hammer needs to be lubricated before and during use. If there is no lubrication or poor lubrication, it will cause early wear and fatigue to the internal moving parts of the DTH Hammer, especially the piston. It will also form early fatigue cracks on the piston surface, which will seriously affect the life of the piston, increase the use cost and bring inconvenience to the construction.
At the same time, water-induced leaks and oil losses require additional lubricating oil to compensate. More lubricating oil is also required when there are bubbles around the borehole.
Reasonable lubrication can not only improve the drilling efficiency, but also prolong the service life of the DTH Hammer, has good wear resistance, rust resistance, anti-oxidation, anti-foam drilling damage.
Maintenance after use
Proper and timely maintenance can also extend the life of the DTH Hammer components, and can greatly reduce the use cost.
In many cases, the outer sleeve wear or internal parts wear, will reduce the performance of the DTH Hammer. Then the DTH Hammer needs to be repaired and a more detailed inspection is needed.
If all the parts are in good condition, apply lubricating oil, install them correctly according to the assembly diagram, and then keep them.
However, in order to ensure the best performance of the DTH Hammer, it is still necessary to maintain the DTH Hammer regularly.
Regular maintenance
Any equipment needs regular maintenance, only by doing a good job of each maintenance, when needed to be used can be at ease, the same is true of the DTH Hammer.
Maintenance of a maintained borehole impact is relatively simple, as long as it is determined whether the internal piston moves well and whether the lubrication is appropriate.
But if the DTH Hammer has been used for a long time, maintain DTH Hammer according to the following methods:
- First, replace all "O" rings, check valve seals and springs inside the DTH Hammer to ensure that the DTH Hammer reduces gas consumption.
- Second, ensure good lubrication of the internal moving parts (piston) of the DTH Hammer, and remove all the sharp corners and burrs formed by the piston during use (it is recommended to grind the sharp corners and burrs of the piston with an oil stone).
- Third, ensure that the check valve is smooth and correct return.
- Fourth, check the outer sleeve , cylinder wear situation, according to the need to replace in time.
- Fifth, install the DTH Hammer in the correct order according to the instructions or installation diagram.
- Sixth, keep the DTH Hammer properly.
