How to maintain the DTH Drill Rod？

The role of the DTH Drill Rod is crucial to the drilling operation. Due to the  DTH Drill Rod's expensive probe, which can cost anywhere from a few thousand dollars to tens of thousands of yuan, it is easy to accidently shatter the  DTH Drill Rod if it is not used and maintained properly. If the  DTH Drill Rod breaks, there will be a significant financial loss. How therefore do we employ and care for the DTH Drill Rod?

To prevent damage to the thread or the fastener while using fresh drill rod, wipe the protective grease off the drill rod thread, clean the interior of the drill rod with air or water, and then add thread oil to both the internal and external threads of the drill rod.

2. When drilling, make an effort to keep the drill hole upright to prevent early drill rod wear brought on by deflection or bending.

3. The first drill rod should be linked to the beginning rod between the hammer and the first drill rod to prevent early damage to the first drill rod.

4. When attaching the drill rod, don't forget to lubricate the threads and tighten the DTH Drill Rod; otherwise, the connection between the threads will be slack, grinding the tops of the teeth sharp, causing thread damage or sticking. The female buckling step is not pushed, which causes air leakage and fatigue fracture of the male joint thread at the root.

5. When attaching the drill rod, the male buckle must not come into contact with the female buckle's shoulder or thread. Also, make sure the male and female joints are centered and that the higher female buckle cannot be forced clasped. Verify the drill head's coaxiality with the connecting DTH Drill Rod.
